For our love of the oceans and to decrease our environmental footprint as much as we can, we wanted to make our swimwear out of recycled material and produce it in an ethical manner. Here is the journey of our swimwear production.

1. Collecting

Our swimwear fabric starts its journey as fishing nets, carpet flooring, fabric scraps and plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world. This waste is collected through different initiatives and projects.

2. Recycling

After a regeneration and purification process the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. These yarns are then created into fabric per our unique designs – the essence of our collections. Most of our items are reversible, which means you get two in one. Our swimwear fabric is made with ECONYL® & REPREVE.

3. Manufacturing

Our swimwear is made in Bali, Indonesia, at a local factory. We wanted to ensure that the factory we chose to produce our swimwear in matched our values. We researched several different options in Bali and hand selected our factory due to their morally and ethically responsible and sustainable practices.

We are super happy with the factory that we have worked with for years. We visit the factory on a regular basis and value the staff greatly. All our sewing staff are well-paid, and they work in good conditions. It is great that we can provide work for the local Balinese people and in turn, they help us make our sustainable swimwear.

4. Packing

After the products are finished, they are placed in biodegradable bags and shipped directly to customers. All our packaging is eco-friendly.

5. Enjoying

Then our amazing Halla Huns receive their ethical, sustainable, and durable swimwear pieces, ready to be used on land and in water. Enjoy life, love yourself and be your unique wonderful self in our one of a kind swimwear.
